Scotland win BIBC Junior Internationals for 3rd year in a row

Congratulations to the Scotland U25 Gents team who successfully won the BIBC Junior International series for a record equalling third time in a row at Essex County Bowling Club.

The Scots got off to a great start on Saturday morning by putting in a commanding display against Wales to win 132-98. The defending champions then faced hosts England on Saturday afternoon and unfortunately suffered a narrow defeat 125-114.

This meant the Scottish team had to rely on Wales beating England on Sunday whilst Scotland also had to beat Ireland in their final game to clinch the series - and this is exactly what happened!

Wales managed to beat England by 2 shots which left the Scots on the green needing to beat Ireland by 10 shots or more to win the title again.

Paul Foster MBE and David Peacock's team used all their experience to close out the last few ends and win the game by 112-102 shots to win the series after an exciting morning of top class bowls with both games coming down to the last bowl.
