Congratulations to Scotlands silver medallist at the 2017 HKC Men's Singles John Fleming. John spoke to coach Bob Christie earlier today following the final and was delighted to have progressed so far in the competition.
"I have really enjoyed the experience in Hong Kong so far and reaching the Classic Singles Final is nothing short of a dream come true.
Although to lose out in the final I am disappointed but it is a really tough field with World Class players such as Gerry Baker (South Africa) and Mike Nagy (New Zealand) who are Commonwealth Games players whom I beat on the way to the final and also the other World Class players in the field.
The team dynamics and the support from my teamates and coach has been incredible and we are all looking forward to the pairs starting tomorrow with both teams looking to qualify for the finals respectively."
