Commonwealth Games

Lawn Bowls has been one of Team Scotland's most successful sports throughout the history of the Commonwealth Games. Scotland's finest players have won a total of 42 medals to date, including 21 gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze.

Willie Wood holds the record for most Games appearances (8) of any Scottish athlete from any sport. George Miller is Team Scotland's oldest competitor to date, aged 75 during Birmingham 2022. He won gold as a Director in the Para Mixed Pairs B2/B3, making him to oldest ever Commonwealth Games gold medallist.

With five gold, one silver and one bronze medal, Alex Marshall is not only Team Scotland’s most successful bowler, but also tops the all-time list of Scotland’s Commonwealth Games medallists across all sports.
