Team Scotland clinch silver medal at European Championships
Congratulations to Dee Hoggan, Natalie Docherty, Darren Weir and Connor Milne, who returned home from the European Championships in Guernsey with a silver medal in the Overall Team Championship. Darren and Connor also won a silver medal in the Men’s Pairs event after some brilliant displays over the week long tournament.
Dee and Natalie were unfortunate not to medal in the Women’s Pairs by finishing 5th, just two points off the medal places. In the Mixed Fours, Team Scotland were agonisingly close to securing a bronze medal after being tied on points and shot difference with the European Select team but the Europeans had scored 2 more shots in their games over the week which won them the bronze medal.
Well done to the whole team for a great tournament in Guernsey! Scotland will now host the next European Championships in 2021 at the National Centre for Bowling, Ayr.
