Sad news of Scottish Internationalist - Joyce Lindores

Bowls Scotland are saddened to note the announcement from Joyce Lindores family that she passed very peacefully at McCulloch House, Melbourne on Sunday 18th June at 9pm (12pm UK time). Her eldest daughter Grace was with her when she passed and the family have asked that friends share as many memories and photographs to help celebrate her life and achievements.

Joyce (born 1944) won the Women's singles at the 1995 World Indoor Bowls Championship defeating Margaret Johnston in the final. Three years later she won the pairs gold medal with Margaret Letham at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. The pair then won the pairs title at the 2000 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Moama, Australia
