Coaching is a vital part of our Club Development work across Bowls Scotland. In a bid to make our sport as fun and as accessible as possible, Coaches are at the heart of ensuring players learn the skills and techniques, but also continue to help players develop long into their bowling career.
Bowls Scotland have a wide variety of support available to coaches, and we are always looking to help coaches develop as much as possible.
We currently run 3 formal Coach Education Courses at various clubs across Scotland throughout all 12 months of the year. These courses are designed to provide qualifications for coaches, and provide them with the skills and confidence to deliver fun, safe coaching sessions within their own club.

Virtual Coaching Forums
With COVID-19 forcing us all to adapt to more modern ways of connecting, Bowls Scotland are running several Virtual Coaching Forums throughout 2021 to help ensure Coaches have a regular opportunity to discuss Coaching and help each other out with challenges faced when in a coaching environment, as well as sharing good examples of best practice for others to follow.

Coach Tutor Roles
In a bid to ensure we can support all areas of Scotland, we are always looking for Coaching Tutors to join our team. This would involve leading Coach Education Courses locally and helping some local clubs progress along their coaching journey. We have a wide range of Coaching Tutors already, but really need some new faces from the most remote parts of Scotland, as well as a lot more female leaders to help ensure this game is for all.
For more information on Coaching tutor roles, please email email@example.com
To help grow the platform of Bowls Coaching we are looking to find those clubs who are doing excellent work in their community to grow the game and coach their club members. If you think your club has been doing some fantastic work in the local community, please get in touch with Adam Martin on the contact details below. We really would love to hear from you.
If you need any more information on coaching, or wish to discuss some possible opportunities for your club, then please contact our Coach & Volunteer Manager, Adam Martin, via firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07591825874.
