RESTRICTIONS

Cars parked without a permit in coned off areas surrounding the National Centre will receive a parking fine issued by South Ayrshire Council. Cars displaying a blue badge are not exempt from this and will also be issued a parking fine.

It is important to note that the area adjacent to the Northfield Bowling Club entrance is a fire muster point, so in the interests of health and safety we advise cars who are picking up/dropping off to stop further along the street.

South Ayrshire Council parking wardens will be patrolling the area through each event day.

Public Transport

Newton-on-Ayr train station is situated a 5 minute walk from the National Centre for Bowling with two trains stopping at the station every hour from Glasgow Central.

Buses also stop regularly on Prestwick Road, which is less than a 5 minute walk from the venue. The X77 Bus from Glasgow and the 585 Bus from Greenock stop on Prestwick Road, along with many other local services.
