The Bowls Scotland 2012 Tournament Licence Application Form is now available to download by clicking here Please enclose appropriate fee and a stamped addressed envelope for return of Licence(s) Once completed please return it to: Bowls Scotland REGULATIONS GOVERNING OPEN / INVITATION TOURNAMENTS All Open / Invitation Tournaments held in Scotland must be licensed by the Bowls Scotland.
Licence Fee
The fees payable fall into two categories:
A Total prize monies in cash and kind not in excess of £300 Fee - £5.00
B Total prize monies in cash and kind in excess of £300 5% of total Prize Monies
Application Forms are obtainable from the headquarters of Bowls Scotland or from its website and on completion should be returned along with the appropriate Licence Fee. ___________
1 All matches or games shall be played under the Laws of the Game including the appointment and duties of markers and Umpires as laid down by World Bowls.
2 Proof of contravention of any of the foregoing Regulations by any Constituent club or by any holder of a Licence or Permit to conduct an Open / Invitation Tournament shall cause the cancellation of such Licence or Permit, and any contravention of said Regulations by a player taking part in an Open / Invitation Tournament shall cause his withdrawal from play and the forfeiture of any prize won and due to him from an Open / Invitation Tournament.
Conditions of Games:
1 All events where the value of the total rewards, including attendance money and/or expenses and whether in cash or kind exceed £300, must be licensed by Bowls Scotland. Any player taking part in any unlicensed event may be suspended from taking part in all forms of bowls organised by or under the auspices of bowls Scotland
2. The licence fee for all events shall be in accordance with the official scale approved by the Licensing Committee.
3. The organisers of all events must apply to Bowls Scotland for a licence at least 30 days before the commencement of the event. Such application must state: (a) The date of the events. (b) The form in which it is to take place (singles, pairs, etc.) (c) The location of the events. (d) Whether it is Open, Invitation, or Open with Invitees. (e) Whether attendance money and/or expenses are being paid to invitees and in the case of attendance money, how much. (f) The value of the rewards and whether in cash or kind. (g) Details of any financial support in cash or kind promised to the organisers (h) Details of the expected expenses of running the events.
4. The organisers will undertake that upon the completion of the event Bowls Scotland will be notified within three months by or on behalf of the organising body or promoter, of the total rewards and expenses paid and to whom. |
